Renewable Heating Engineer (Full Time, Permanent)

Energifix is looking for ambitious heating engineers to join our company and grow our ability to install intelligent renewable heating systems for our energy company customers. Our business is a young and dynamic installation company established to serve the energy industry and support the growth of smart grids and connected low carbon technologies.

Energifix is looking for ambitious heating engineers to join our company and grow our ability to install intelligent renewable heating systems for our energy company customers. Our business is a young and dynamic installation company established to serve the energy industry and support the growth of smart grids and connected low carbon technologies. The heating engineer who chooses to join us will be given continuous training and development with opportunity to step up to leadership and qualifications in new and existing technologies such as ground and air source heat pumps, Thermal and electrical storage systems, Solar PV and electric vehicles. Our existing team of engineers who are also military veterans offer a mentorship to all our staff as part of our commitment personal development. Our ambition is to help you become an elite renewable heating engineer working to deliver low carbon heat in the UK.

Our team welcome engineers from all walks of life who are looking to develop and grow with this new opportunity. Successful candidates will have a minimum qualification of level 2 plumbing, as well as Level 3 Gas. This is preferable but not essential, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of heating installations. Heat pump installation experience is attractive but is not essential as training will be provided.

The engineer must be confident to work on their own with a can-do attitude towards working. This excellent opportunity comes with a company van, fuel card, laptop, mobile phone allowance, company share scheme, and company pension and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).

Company Location: West Midlands
Salary: £32 – £40 (Salary negotiable based on demonstratable experience)
Holiday: 33 days inclusive of statutory holidays

Key duties & responsibilities

Provide installation services for various sites within the designated region.
Manage an apprentice and/or improver renewable engineer
Carry out site specific risk assessments
Co-ordinate works with the team electrician
Complete the installations to the scope of work specification
Manage and organise and arrange collection of van stocks
Carry out commission services
Upload and complete specific work documents
Customer handovers
Attend regular training and tools box talks
Support team development and process improvement

In addition they will have the opportunity to gain qualifications in new and existing technologies such as ground and air source heat pumps, Thermal and electrical storage systems, Solar PV and electric vehicles. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with minimum qualifications:

 

  • 18th Edition
  • Inspection and testing City and Guild 2391 / 2392 or
  • EAL level 3 4337 / 4338
